As of now, ChatGPT is not available as an app on the Google Play Store or the App Store for Android or iOS, respectively. However, users can use the OpenAI website to access the ChatGPT chatbot, which is based on the GPT-3 API. Android users can do this by using a mobile web browser like Chrome. Here’s how to setup an OpenAI account and use the ChatGPT AI chatbot on an Android device:

  1. Open the Chrome browser on your Android device.
  2. Then, go to the official website of OpenAI.
  3. Tap on the Try button available next to Introducing ChatGPT research release at the top of the page.
  4. On the login page, you can create an account by entering your email address and a password.
  5. Then, you will be asked to verify your email address.
  6. The website will then ask you to enter your phone number for further verification.
  7. Finally, your account setup will be done. Then you can select Playground and ask questions.

Similar to Android, there is no standalone app available to access the ChatGPT chatbot on iOS devices. iPhone users can access the ChatGPT AI chatbot via the official OpenAI website using web browsers like Safari or Chrome.
