The Ministry of Electronics and IT (Meity) had announced that the users will be able to access their DigiLocker account through WhatsApp. Citizens will also get access to the MyGov Helpdesk while using the mobile application. With this collaboration, users will be able to download all important documents like – PAN card, Driver’s license, class 10 mark sheet, class 12 mark sheet and vehicle RC via WhatsApp.
The DigiLocker services can be availed on WhatsApp through the MyGov Helpdesk chatbot.
Here’s how you can use DigiLocker on WhatsApp
Save +91-9013151515 as MyGov Helpdesk in your contacts.
Refresh your contacts list on WhatsApp
Click on MyGov Helpdesk to open the chat window
Type ‘Namastey’, ‘Hi’ or ‘Digilocker’ to activate the chatbot
The chatbot will show the available option
Click on the ‘Yes’ option when the chat box window appears and asks whether you have a Digilocker account.
Enter the 10-digit Aadhar number when the chatbox asks. It is mandatory to link and authenticate your Digilocker account to access its services via WhatsApp.
Enter the OTP received on your registered mobile number.
Once the OTP is accepted the chatbot lists the documents linked to your account.
Click on other documents to get back to the lists of documents which are available
