How to use Google Translate on smartphones and desktop
Google Translate is one of the most widely used translation tools. The tool is available across the platforms as an app on Android and iOS. Windows and macOS users can access it through the web. In addition to that, Google has also integrated the Translate service into its Chrome web browsers allowing users to quickly translate the web page or documents on the go.
Wondering how to get started with the Google Translate, here’s our in-depth guide:
Get Google Translate on Apple iPhone and Android smartphones
Google Translate is available on both Google Play Store and Apple App Store. So, you can simply head to the respective app stores and search Google Translate. Then, tap on the Google Translate option and hit the Install (on Android) or Get (on iPhone) to download.
Get Google Translate on Windows and macOS
Google does not have apps for Windows or macOS. So, you’ll have to rely on the web version. Now, there are two ways to do that. One, you can simply open www.google.com and search Translate.
In the search result, you’ll see a box with the option to select languages and a text box to paste the content you want to translate.
Alternatively, you can visit the Google Translate website and translate whatever you want including text, documents and website.
How to translate using Google Translate
On Android: Open the Google Translate app and paste the text you want to translate. Google Translate is also smart enough to detect the language of the content you’ve pasted. So, you’ll only need to choose the language in which you want to translate.
To translate a website or webpage, open the Google Chrome web browser and head to the webpage. Once the page is all loaded and ready, right-click on it and choose the Translate option.
