HP Gaming doubles down on desktops for CES 2022
TL;DR
- HP Gaming just announced some new desktops under its Omen umbrella for 2022.
- The new Cryo Chamber adds a revamped cooling solution for improved airflow.
- You can now buy an Omen desktop case and start from scratch.
HP pulled off an impressive rebrand for its line of Omen gaming desktops just a few years ago. It started with the flagship laptops such as the Omen 15, and now it’s the desktops’ turn. Omens of all sizes made appearances at CES 2022, hoping to push HP’s idea that anyone and everyone can be a gamer.
The premier launch is HP Gaming’s large and in charge Omen 45L. It shows off the brand-new Cryo Chamber, a compartment that sits above the main PC case. The Cryo Chamber houses up to a 360mm AiO liquid cooler and pulls ambient air for cooling rather than circulating air in the case itself.
Beyond the updated cooling system, the Omen 45L offers an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3090 GPU with up to 24GB GDDR6X memory.

If you prefer AMD tuning, HP Gaming offers up to a Radeon RX 6700 XT GPU and a Ryzen 9 5900X CPU. The top Intel processor is a 12th-Gen Core i9-12900K. HP’s ownership of HyperX means that the machine offers up to 64GB of DDR4 RAM and up to 4TB of WD Black SSD storage. The new 45L ATX Case also allows you to build your Omen PC from scratch for the first time.
The HP Omen 45L will launch on January 5, 2022, for $1,899.
Other HP Gaming announcements
HP Gaming hit refresh on its Omen 25L, too, though it comes without a Cryo Chamber punch. Instead, it comes with the first-ever optional Ceramic White color option and a tempered glass side panel. The Omen 25L is all about style but still offers gaming chops with up to an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 or AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT GPU. It tops out with Intel’s 12th-Gen Core i7 processors.
You can pick up the HP Omen 25L in Spiring 2022 with pricing to come.
The message that anyone can be a gamer means that not everyone has a proper gaming budget. That’s where HP Gaming’s Victus lineup comes in. The new Victus 15L is the first desktop offering from the offshoot, and it brings slightly lighter internals. You can choose up to the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti or Radeon RX 6600 XT GPU. HP’s budget gaming line tops out at the 12th-Gen Intel Core i7 or AMD Ryzen 7 5000G processor with up to 32GB of RAM.
It launches in February 2022, with pricing to come.
Finally, the Omen 27U 4K monitor offers a place to put your gaming PC through its paces. It’s HP Gaming’s first HDMI 2.1 monitor, and it comes ready to plug and play with next-gen consoles. The 4K resolution is sharp, while the 144Hz refresh rate keeps up with the ever-increasing standard on the market today. HP added AMD FreeSync Premium Pro technology and four-sided micro bezels to minimize outside distractions.
The monitor launches in Spring 2022 for $699.
