HP launches its first AMD-powered Chromebook priced at Rs 32,999 – Times of India

HP has expanded its Chromebook portfolio with the launch of Chromebook x360 14a laptop in India. It is the company’s first Chromebook to be powered by an AMD processor. The Chromebook features a 14-inch display with narrow bezels, long battery life and comes with Google Assistant and Google One subscription for a year. HP says that the Chromebook x360 14a is designed to “cater to the needs of students aged 4-15 years”.

The HP Chromebook x360 14a is priced at Rs 32,999 and it is now available for purchase via Amazon India website. The HP portfolio also includes Chromebook 11a, Chromebook 14a which are priced at Rs 24,999 and Rs 28,999 respectively.
HP Chromebook x360 14a: Features
Chromebook x360 14a is the most expensive Chromebook from HP. It comes in three colour options — Mineral Silver, Ceramic White, and Forrest Teal. It weighs just under 1.5Kg.
The laptop features a 14-inch touch-enabled HD display. The laptop features a 360-degree hinge that means users can use this laptop as a tablet as well.
Chromebook x360 14a is powered by an AMD processor, the company has not disclosed the exact model name of the CPU, however, it’s a dual-core CPU paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB eMMC which is expandable up to 256GB via microSD card. The laptop also comes with 100GB free cloud storage for a year.
HP claims that the laptop delivers around 12.5 hours of battery life on a single charge and it also supports HP Fast Charge tech that claims to deliver 50% charge in just 45 minutes. The laptop also comes with an HD camera for video calls.
As far as connectivity is concerned, the laptop comes with Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth and USB ports.
HP Chromebook x360 14a runs ChromeOS and as a part of the operating system, it comes with Google services like Gmail, Meet, Assistant, etc.
