iCloud on Windows shows users corrupted videos and photos from strangers in their library

iPhone users are facing a strange issue, that too on Windows PCs. A number of users have reported the iCloud app on Windows showing corrupt video files. Not just that, they are also seeing videos and pictures that do not even belong to them in their library.
As per complaints from several iPhone users on the MacRumors forum, the iCloud for Windows app seems to have corrupted videos. The videos recorded on iPhones, synced with iCloud, appear black with scan lines, rendering them useless. These complaints are from the majority of iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro users.
iCloud for Windows app plagued with photos and videos of strangers
While that issue persists, there is another strange issue plaguing the Windows app for iCloud. Some users have complained of seeing photos and videos in their library on iCloud for Windows that they do not even remember taking, meaning these photos and videos belong to someone else, and these users do not know who.
The users report seeing photos and videos of random families and children.
Apple has yet to acknowledge the issue
So far, there has been no word from Apple on this issue. And the reason behind this is still unknown. However, users have reported the issue to Apple, so the company may be aware of the issue.
The users on the forum report that reinstalling the iCloud app did not help much either. As per the complaints, this issue seems to be impacting the legacy iCloud for the Windows app but not the new bundled app, and it is faced by users on both Windows 10 and Windows 11.
