Instagram is reportedly testing a new moderator feature for live streaming

Live Scheduling and Practice mode were the two new features that Instagram announced earlier last month specifically to make things easier for live content creators. The Live Scheduling is already rolling out to users and it allows them to schedule their live video by up to 90 days. The Practice mode, on the other hand, is yet to roll out but gives users a test ground before going live.

Reports suggest that Instagram is also testing another new feature dedicated for live content creators. App reverse engineer Alessandaro Paluzzi has revealed that the company is working on a feature that will allow live creators to add moderators to their live streams.

The feature, according to the report, will be added to the Live Settings of Instagram and the feature will make things easier for content creators by allowing them to choose a content moderator from the people who are currently watching the live stream to manage comments and other stuff during an ongoing live stream.

The feature is still under development and it might take a while before Instagram actually starts testing it to select users first and then rollout to the final build of the app. It is also important to note that as of now, Instagram hasn’t talked about anything related to the feature.

For those unaware, Instagram has finally started using selfies for identity verification. For more information about it and how the new verification process works, click here.
