Instagram may bring this major update to Stories – Times of India

Instagram Stories, currently, are 30 seconds long. Any video exceeding the duration limit is automatically split into. Now a new report has emerged that the photo-sharing app is planning to allow users to post Stories that are 60 seconds long. According to a tweet by Twitter user @alex193a, Instagram will not split these Stories that are 60 seconds long.
In the post, the tipster has also shared a screenshot of the upcoming feature. “Introducing longer stories”, the image reads. It also states that videos up to 60 seconds long will no longer be broken up into segments. “Now you can add music and effects to the full video,” it says.

Stories are one of the popular features of Instagram. The upcoming change, if true, will be a major upgrade for Instagram users.
There is no official release date for the feature, but it is expected to be rolled out in the coming weeks.
