Instagram reportedly increases time limit for Stories

Meta-owned Instagram recently increased the duration of a Reel from 60 seconds to 90 seconds. Now it appears that the company is making another important change to the platform. According to an online report, Instagram is increasing the time limit for Instagram Stories to 60 seconds.
As reported by TechCrunch, Instagram has confirmed that it is increasing the time limit of Instagram Stories to 60 seconds. Earlier the time limit for Instagram Stories was fixed to 15 seconds and the Stories longer than that would appear in multiple segments but not as one. The shorter time limit made uploading the process of Instagram Stories tedious and challenging.
“We are always working on ways to improve the Stories experience. Now, you’ll be able to play and create Stories continuously for up to 60 seconds, instead of being automatically cut into 15-second clips,” Meta spokesperson told TechCrunch.
With this new change in place, Instagram users will not have to post interrupted Stories.
Earlier this month, Instagram introduced new tools that enable parents to keep a check on the involvement of their children on Instagram. Along with this, the social networking platform is also introducing Family Center, a new place for parents and guardians to access supervision tools and resources from experts.
The tool allows users to manage their time on Instagram by setting screen time limits and scheduling breaks during the day and week. The tools also help parents to stay updated with who their child connects with on Instagram. Also, your children can choose to notify you if they make a report on Instagram, so you can discuss what happened together.
