iOS 15 gives Safari a huge overhaul — here’s what I love (and hate)

iOS 15 packs in a lot of changes for the built-in apps on your iPhone. But the biggest overhaul to an existing app can be found in Safari. Not only does iOS 15 add new capabilities to your phone’s built-in browser, it revamps the very look of Safari itself.

Safari’s overhaul isn’t limited to the iPhone. Both macOS Monterey and iPadOS 15 change the look of the browser on both Macs and iPads, opting for a more streamlined approach. iOS 15’s version takes a very phone-centric approach that’s unique to the iPhone’s more limited screen real estate. The results, frankly, are a bit of a mixed bag.
