ipad air: Apple may be planning to change the way apps appear on iPad with the next update, claims tipster – Times of India
The iPadOS apps may appear as floating windows in the future when a keyboard and trackpad are connected to the device, leaker Majin Bou has claimed. This is akin to the Quick Note floating windows feature. Apple could call the feature ‘Apple Mixer’, as per the claims of the leaker.
In a Twitter post, Bou, who’s known for hardware-related leaks, said that Apple is working on a smart system for the iPadOS called the ‘Apple Mixer’ for how the apps respond when a keyboard and trackpad is connected to the tablet. According to him, the iPadOS apps will continue to open in full screen, as they have been doing till now, but will immediately shrink as soon as a keyboard and trackpad get connected to the tablet.
“We don’t know if it will be included in iPadOS 16 or not, It should be M1 iPad exclusive.”, the leaker added at the end of the tweet.

The claim does not make it clear whether the keyboard connection to the iPad would affect any app that’s already open or whether this floating window feature would be rolled across to all the iPads or just select ones.
