Use the App Switcher

Users can see all their open apps with App Switcher. Simply swipe up from the bottom edge and hold in the middle of the screen of an iPad with Face ID.


Take a screenshot or screen recording on iPad

Users can take a picture of the screen as it appears to share with others by swiping up from the bottom left corner on iPad. Or they can take a recording of actions on the screen by tapping on the Screen Recording option in Control Centre.


Save a full-page screenshot as a PDF

One can take a full-page, scrolling screenshot of a webpage, document, or email that exceeds the length of the iPad screen, and then save it as a PDF. Just tap Full Page at the top of the screen after you take a screenshot. Students can easily convert textbook pages or quickly save important documents or assignments to PDF format.

Users can add emojis when typing with the keyboard with the Globe key or Control + Command + Space.


Easy translation

One can translate text even when you’re not in the Translate app. Highlight text in a variety of apps and tap Translate to immediately get the translation in a pop-up. From here, one can copy, save, open the translation in the Translate app, or replace the highlighted text with the translation. Users also have the option to translate text in photos.


Type text with your voice

The Dictation feature can be used to type text with just your voice. While dictating on-device, you can move fluidly between voice and touch. Type with the Keyboard, tap in the text field, move the cursor, and insert QuickType suggestions, all without needing to stop Dictation. Dictation also inserts commas, periods, and question marks for you as you dictate.


Use Stage Manager

Apple got the Stage Manager with iPadOS 16. It can be used to multitask, automatically arranging your apps and windows into a single view. You can Conveniently adjust the size of windows or bring two apps together to create a group. Also, you can easily add a new window or navigate to your most recent apps on the left of the screen. Stage Manager can be activated by tapping its corresponding icon in Control Center. Do keep in mind that Stage Manager is Available on iPad Pro 12.9-inch (3rd generation and later) iPad Pro 11-inch (1st generation and later) and iPad Air (5th generation) models only.


Use the Split View feature

You can use Split View to have two apps open and active on your screen at the same time. To activate Split View, swipe up from the bottom of the screen to access the Dock, then drag an app icon from the Dock to the left or right side of the screen.
