Chinese hackers participating in the annual Tianfu Cup in Chengdu, China were able to break the security of the latest iOS 15.0.2 software in seconds. The Tianfu Cup is a competition for hackers to showcase their skills to find and manipulate vulnerabilities and break through security of big tech companies like Apple, Google, Microsoft and others.

As per a report by Forbes, the team used a “remote code execution exploit of the mobile Safari web browser” to break through the iPhone 13 Pro.
And that’s just not it. Another team, called Team Pangu, who is quite popularly known to jailbreak Apple devices won the top prize of $300,000 cash by remotely jailbreaking” the iPhone 13 running iOS 15.
It goes without saying that these hackers have been preparing for a long time for this contest to jailbreak new iPhones in seconds.
So, why did Pangu win? Well, the other team took 15 seconds while Pangu took just one. As per a report by Patently Apple,” obtained the highest control of the iPhone 13 Pro”. This means the hacker could access photos, apps and even delete data from the iPhone 13 Pro.
