iphone: Facebook to soon fix this Instagram problem on iPhones

Since Apple released iOS 15 for its iPhone models, users have noticed a strange behaviour on Instagram stories. When the device’s ringer is on silent mode, Instagram stories play without audio. The ringer switch at the side of an iPhone usually mutes the ringtones, not the audio from any application. You can also use the switch to turn off the sound of any video while it’s still playing but that doesn’t mute the sounds of other applications.
The issue was reported by few users during the public beta testing of the new iPhone operating system. It is not clear if the issue is also a part of older iOS builds as well. Acknowledging the issue, Facebook said “We’re aware that some people are having trouble hearing their audio in Instagram Stories. We’re working to fix this issue as quickly as possible and apologize for any inconvenience.” The tech giant hasn’t addressed if the issue was specifically related to iOS 15 only.
This audio bug isn’t the only issue reported by iPhone users who have updated their devices, they have also reported bugs related to storage warning. On Twitter, iOS 15 users seeked help from Apple as they were receiving a ‘iPhone Storage Almost Full’ warning message inside Settings, despite having free storage space.
Few users have also reported that sometimes the available space in their iPhone is shown more than the device’s capacity. Apple touts the new iOS build as a necessary security update for iPhones with Face ID feature. The update also brings a bunch of new features such as Focus Mode, Visual Look Up, Live Text and many others. While the company has already started the beta testing of iOS 15.1, it is expected that the iOS 15.0.1 update will be rolled out soon.
