iQoo 8, iQoo 8 legend may launch in India soon: Reports – Times of India

The iQoo 8 series is supposedly set to launch in India soon, reports Gizchina. The latest iQoo 8 series range from the company is already available in China. The report claims that the success of the iQoo 7 series in India is the reason such an assumption can be made. The launch teasers for the handset are expected soon, with the company also likely to unveil the launch date for the handset prior to the end of India’s festive season.
iQoo 8 expected specifications
It is expected to come with a 6.56-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a screen to body ratio of 92.8% and a refresh rate of 120Hz. The base iQoo 8 device is available in China with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888 SoC, with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB of storage. In the back, it is expected to have a 48MP primary sensor from Sony, a 13MP ultra-wide lens with a 13MP portrait camera and on the front, it might come with a 16MP selfie camera.
The device is expected to pack a 4,350 mAh battery that supports 120W fast wired charging. The variant available in China is 8.6mm thick and weighs around 199 grams. It has an in-display fingerprint sensor and face unlock for security. Its connectivity options might include NFC, Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2.
iQoo 8 Pro (iQoo 8 Legend in China)
This device may feature a 6.78-inch 2K+ E5 AMOLED display from Samsung with a refresh rate of 120Hz with Dolby Vision and HDR10+ certification as well. iQoo 8 Pro is expected to get the Legend name in India, which might come with a Snapdragon 888 Plus SoC, with 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage. The device is expected to feature a triple camera setup in the back with a primary 50MP Sony lens, a 48MP ultra-wide camera with another 16MP portrait lens and at the front is a 16MP selfie camera. It might pack a bigger battery of 4,500 mAh with 120W fast charging, 50W wireless charging and 10W reverse charging support.
iQoo has also revealed its Android 12 beta rollout schedule for support information. As expected, the iQoo 7 series, iQoo Z3 and iQoo Z3 are the first in line for the Android 12 beta and will get the new OS by the end of December.
