iQOO 8 series specifications (expected)
The iQOO 8 Pro comes with a 2K E5 AMOLED LTPO 10bit display with a 120Hz refresh rate that will dynamically adjust between 1Hz and 120Hz depending on the content on the screen, centre-positioned punch-hole cutout, and narrow bezels. The standard model should come with an FHD+ display and a similar 120Hz AMOLED panel. The exact display sizes aren’t revealed just yet. While the Pro variant is confirmed to feature the Snapdragon 888 Plus SoC, we can speculate the standard model may come with the Snapdragon 870. Both the iQOO 8 and 8 Pro are likely to boot Android 11-based iQOO custom skin out of the box. All the models in the series will have 120W fast-charging, with the Pro getting 50W wireless and 10W reverse charging support.
The iQOO 8 Pro is confirmed to arrive with triple cameras on the back, with a 50MP primary sensor, a 48MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 16MP snapper with a focal length between 14mm-60mm. The rear cameras will have support for VIS five-axis anti-shale micro-cloud gimbal stabilisation. It is said to pack 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and probably up to 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. The phone is tipped to have 4GB RAM virtual RAM. However, details regarding the standard variant are a mystery, for now.
The recently teased poster image shows the Pro model will have a centre-positioned punch-hole cutout and slightly curved edges. The volume rocker and power button that is coloured are on the right spine. The fingerprint sensor should be placed within the display on both models. The Pro variant may come with BWM logo stripes on the back.
