iQoo 9T India launch confirmed, may feature the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset – Times of India

Moreover, the iQoo 10 Pro handset was recently approved by the TENAA certification authority which revealed that the Pro variant may come powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset.
Now, a recent report by GSMArena suggests that the iQoo 10-series might not be the only device to feature Qualcomm’s latest processor. The report suggests that the company is set to expand the iQoo 9 series with another smartphone in the country. iQoo 9T is confirmed to launch in India in July. The report also claims that the upcoming handset will also come powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC which is claimed to boost the device’s performance by 10% and improve power efficiency by 30%. Apart from these, the iQoo 9T has also recently passed the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification.
As per the report, the company has also claimed that the iQoo 9T will offer “ultimate performance and a top-notch gaming experience,” just like the other devices in the lineup. Moreover, the 9T is also expected to be an upgrade over the two earlier released handsets, the company promises. However, the company has not revealed the official pricing of the upcoming smartphone. For reference, the iQoo 9 starts at Rs 42,990 while the base model of the iQoo 9 Pro is available at Rs 64,990.

Rumours suggest that the iQoo 9T is expected to sport a 6.78-inch AMOLED display that will offer a 120Hz refresh rate. As mentioned earlier, the smartphone may come powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset backed with up to 12GB RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage.
The rumour mill has not offered much information about the camera specs of the upcoming handset, but the smartphone is likely to house a triple rear camera setup that will include a 50MP primary camera with Gimbal OIS support. The iQoo 9T might also support 120W fast charging.
