iqoo: iQoo 9 series smartphones to reported launch in India in February 2022 – Times of India

NEW DELHI: iQoo launched its 7 series of smartphones in India this year. Now, it appears that the company is going to give a miss to the iQoo 8 series and it said to launch the iQoo 9 series. According to an online report, the Chinese smartphone maker is expected to launch the iQoo 9 series smartphone in February next year. The smartphone is also expected to come with 120W fast charging support.
According to an online report by GizmoChina, iQoo is expected to launch the iQoo 9 series in India in the first quarter of 2022. The report also adds that the smartphone is said to come with 120W fast charging support. Apart from this, no other information about the new smartphone series is available right now.
The report also adds that the company might incorporate the recently launched most-powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. Qualcomm claims that this new processor offers a performance boost of up to 20 per cent and increases power efficiency by 30 per cent compared to the Snapdragon 888.
Meanwhile, iQoo recently revealed the list of smartphones that will receive the Android 12 beta update. The smartphone maker revealed all the iQoo smartphones available in India will get the Android 12 beta version by December this year except for the iQoo 3 which will get the update by March next year.
The company said that iQOO 7, iQOO 7 Legend, iQOO Z3, iQOO Z5 will get Android 12 beta update by the end of this year. Whereas, the iQoo 3 is said to receive Android 12 update by March next year.
