iQOO Neo 6 5G to launch in India on May 31: Everything you need to know | Digit

The iQOO Neo 6 5G’s launch date has officially been announced by the company. The device will debut in the Indian market on May 31 and will exclusively be sold on Amazon and iQOO’s official website. iQOO took to Twitter to announce the device’s official launch date.

The tweet also confirmed that the phone will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 5G SoC and will come with 80 W Flash Charge support. The China variant, on the other hand, packs the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, so Indian users won’t get the same handset as the Chinese version.

iQOO has also teased UFS 3.1 storage, a cascade cooling system and 4D game vibration with a linear motor. The company also claims up to 110 per cent uptake in CPU/GPU performance. The phone will also come with 1200 Hz Instant and 360 Hz touch sampling rate.

iQOO Neo 6 5G: Expected specifications and price

The iQOO Neo 6 5G will likely feature a 6.62-inch AMOLED panel with support for 120 Hz refresh rate. The display is expected to have a peak brightness of 1,300 nits and there’s a 91.4 per cent screen-to-body ratio.

The phone is confirmed to launch with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC. This will likely be coupled with 8 GB LPDDR4x RAM and 128 GB UFS 3.1 internal storage.

The phone is touted to house a 4,700 mAh battery. The tweet by iQOO confirmed 80 W Flash Charge support. The phone will run FunTouch OS based on Android 12. 

As for the cameras, the phone will likely feature a 64 MP primary sensor with support for OIS. This is paired with an 8 MP ultra-wide lens and a 2 MP portrait sensor. It will also feature a 16 MP selfie camera.

According to a leak by tipster Paras Guglani, the iQOO Neo 6 5G is expected to be priced at Rs 29,000 for the base variant. The phone is confirmed to come in two colours – Dark Nova and Cyber Rage.
