The iQoo Neo 7 smartphone will succeed the iQoo Neo 6 5G smartphone that was launched in India last year. According to a report by GizmoChina, a tipster named Mukul Sharma has claimed that the upcoming smartphone will launch in India “sometime in mid-February.”
iQoo Neo 7: Expected price and availability
The base model of the Chinese variant of iQoo Neo 7 with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage starts at CNY 2,699 (roughly around Rs 32,750). The Indian variant of the smartphone is expected to start near Rs 35,000. This phone will be available for purchase only on Amazon India once it starts shipping to the country. The company is expected to offer the iQoo Neo 7 in three different colour options — Geometric Black, Impression Blue, and Pop Orange colour options.
iQoo Neo 7: Expected specs and features
The Indian version of the smartphone is likely to arrive with similar specs that the Chinese model offer. iQoo Neo 7 is expected to sport a 6.78-inch FHD+ E5 Samsung AMOLED panel that may support a 20:8 aspect ratio, HDR10+, DCI-P3 colour gamut and a peak brightness of 1,500 nits. The display may also offer a 120Hz refresh rate and a 360Hz touch sampling rate.
This smartphone is rumoured to come powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ chipset, which is likely to be backed with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
For optics, the iQoo Neo 7 may house a triple-rear camera setup that will include a 50 MP Sony IMX766V sensor with OIS support, along with an 8MP ultrawide lens and a 2 MP macro unit. For selfies and video calls, the smartphone is likely to feature a 16 MP front snapper.
The phone is likely to pack a 5,000 mAh battery unit that may support 120W fast charging. iQoo Neo 7 is also rumoured to ship with an in-display fingerprint scanner and run on OriginOS Ocean based on Android 13.
