Price, availability and competition
Jabra Elite 5 comes with a price tag of Rs 14,999 and customers can purchase the earbuds in Titanium Black and Gold Beige colour options. The true wireless earbuds can be purchased online from Amazon.in starting February 10.
At this price point, the earbuds will face competition from Samsung Buds 2 Pro which is also priced under Rs 15,000. The earbuds from Samsung come with support for Hi-Fi 24-bit audio that offers a high-dynamic range for better and more detailed sound output. It also comes with the company’s proprietary codec (SSC HiFi) that enables it to transfer high-quality music without a pause. Apart from this, the TWS earbuds also support AAC and SBC codecs. Earbuds also come with Voice detect feature that automatically switches between ANC and ambient mode when it detects that someone is talking to you while listening to music.
Jabra Elite 5 features
Jabra Elite 5 comes with Hybrid Active Noise cancellation which promises to block out the surrounding noise. The Hybrid ANC uses feedback microphones on the inside of the ear, and feedforward microphones on the outside. The device is powered by Qualcomm’s QCC3050 Bluetooth chipset and supports AAC and SBC codecs.
The true wireless earbuds come with 6-microphone call technology with external mics that are active all the time, and internal ones giving your voice a helping hand when it’s windy.
Jabra Elite 5 comes with 6 microphones that offer clear call quality and a 6mm speaker.
The true wireless earbuds support Bluetooth version 5.2 and come with an IP55 rating which makes them water-resistant.
Jabra Elite 5 works with the Jabra Sound+ companion app and it supports Amazon Alexa, Siri and Google Assistant. The earbuds promise to offer up to 7 hours of music playback on a single charge. The device also supports fast charging and with 10 minutes of charge the device can churn out 1 hour of music playback. The earbuds take up to 180 minutes to charge completely.
