Japan has a plan to make humans live on the Moon and Mars – Times of India

Humans have had a difficult time navigating the surface of Earth’s Moon due to the satellite’s lower gravitational pull, which is one of the major factors when it comes to the lunar environment. Then there is Mars, the one planet which has been thought of for colonisation by Elon Musk.
Japanese researchers and engineers seem to have an idea on how to fix the gravity problem on the Moon and Mars and make humans live for longer periods of time. Researchers and engineers from Kyoto University and the Kajima Corporation have a joint proposal ready for the same, as per a report by Gizmodo.
In a press statement, the teams have outlined an approach combining three distinct elements for a sustainable life on the Moon. The first element is “The Glass,” and it is supposed to bring simulated gravity to the Moon and Mars through centrifugal force. The plan is to build the Lunar Glass by the end of the 21st century.

The second element is the “core biome complex” for “relocating a reduced ecosystem to space”.. The core biome complex would be within the Lunar Glass/Mars Glass structure and would be the home of the humans.
The third and final element is the “Hexagon Space Track,” or Hexatrack, a “high-speed transportation infrastructure that could connect Earth, Mars, and the Moon.” For Hexatrack to be functional, at least three different stations would be required: “One on Mars’s moon Phobos, one in Earth orbit, and one around the Moon (likely the planned Lunar Gateway)”, adds the report.
