The early trials conducted by the company suggests that the Jio 5G speed will be “well in excess of 1Gbps.” However, the speed may vary in real life when the network is officially launched in the country. The company claims that it has received regulatory approvals and trial spectrum for 5G field trials in the country. Additionally, per Mukesh Ambani, Jio 5G Standalone Network has been installed at the company’s data centres across India and 5G trial sites in Navi Mumbai. It’s said to be 100 percent homegrown, with a comprehensive 5G solution developed by Jio.

We presume that the company has an indigenous 5G infrastructure rather than depending on Nokia and Ericsson. Ambani adds that the company’s made in India 5G solution is “comprehensive, complete, globally competitive.” The company also says that once the Jio 5G made in India solution is proven in the Indian market, the company aims to export Jio 5G solution to other telecom operators across the world.
