Jio True 5G Welcome Offer revealed
Jio has announced the beta trial of its Jio True 5G services. It will be available for Jio users in Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, and Varanasi. As a part of this, the 5G network services will be available in beta and customers will get unlimited 5G data with up to 1Gbps+ speeds. However, this welcome offer is limited to mentioned cities and is invite-based and not open to all.
Jio mentioned that the beta trial service for other cities will be announced progressively as cities keep getting ready. Users will continue to avail of this beta trial until the network coverage of a city is substantially complete to provide the best coverage and user experience. The invited ‘Jio Welcome Offer’ customers will be automatically upgraded to the Jio True 5G service without needing to change their existing Jio SIM or 5G handset.
The company says that it is working with all handset brands to enable their 5G handsets to work seamlessly with Jio 5G. The Jio Welcome offer will be invite-based and will enable customers to experience the 5G services and gain user-experience feedback. The company says that its 5G network will bring transformational changes across Education, Healthcare, Agriculture, Skill Development, Small, Medium, and Large enterprises, IoT, Smart homes, and Gaming.
Jio’s True 5G will have 3 fold advantage with standalone 5G architecture, advanced 5G with zero dependencies, low latency, machine-to-machine communication, and much more. Jio has the largest and best mix of the spectrum, with the largest and the most appropriate mix of wireless spectrum for 5G across 700MHz, 3500MHz, and 26GHz bands. To recall, Jio is the only operator with a 700MHz low-band spectrum to ensure deep indoor coverage.
