Jio Fiber plans in India start for as low as Rs 399, making it one of the most affordable broadband services in the country. The broadband service from Mukesh Ambani-promoted telco also offers six other Jio Fiber recharge packs, each with benefits that target different requirements of the customers. Every Jio Fiber broadband plan comes with 30 days of validity, unlimited data, and free voice calls. Additionally, five of the seven Jio Fiber recharge plans come with free subscriptions to OTT platforms such as Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Sony LIV, Disney+ Hotstar, ZEE5, and VOOT, among others. That said, the OTT subscription is available with even the most basic plan for Jio Fiber postpaid users.

Jio Fiber broadband tariff: monthly, quarterly, annual plan details

Jio broadband tariffs used to be prepaid-only at first. However, the company recently announced postpaid plans as well that lets users pay after using the services. Dubbed Entertainment Bonanza, the validity and plans of Jio Fiber postpaid services remain the same as prepaid. However, each and every Jio Fiber postpaid plans come with an internet box (Gateway Router), a Set-Top Box, and installation for free along with access to OTT apps.

While Jio offers quarterly, semi-annual, and annual plans for its broadband service, their per month prices are the same as the Jio Fiber monthly plans. There are no additional benefits/ savings if you wish to pay for the services of Jio Fiber broadband plans months in advance. Additionally, while there is no cap on the daily usage of the data on Jio Fiber broadband plans in India at the moment, using over 3,300GB of data in a 30-day recharge cycle (except on the top-end Rs 8,499 Jio broadband tariff) is considered a misuse of the plan benefits.

1. Jio Fiber broadband speed up to 150Mbps plans

Both prepaid and postpaid Jio Fiber broadband plans offer three plans with up to 150Mbps speed. These include Rs 399 monthly Jio broadband plan that ships with 30Mbps speed and free unlimited voice calling benefits in India. This is followed by Rs 699 Jio Fiber plan that provides customers with access to unlimited data at speeds of up to 100Mbps. This plan also includes unlimited voice calling benefits. While prepaid users won’t get any OTT subscription with these plans, postpaid users can enjoy access to 6 OTT apps by paying Rs 100 extra and 14 apps at Rs 200 over and above the monthly rental cost of both Rs 399 and Rs 699 plans. The 14 OTT apps include Disney+ Hotstar, Zee5, Sonyliv, Voot, Sunnxt, Discovery+, Hoichoi, ALTBalaji, Eros Now, Lionsgate, ShemarooMe, Universal+, Voot Kids, JioCinema.

The company provides its customers with unlimited internet at speeds of up to 150 Mbps, with its Rs 999 Jio Fiber plan. The plan is also bundled with unlimited voice calling. You also get a complimentary monthly subscription to 11 OTT apps, including Amazon Prime Video worth Rs 1,000 for free with a Rs 999 Jio Fiber broadband tariff.

2. Jio Fiber broadband speed up to 500Mbps plans

If 150Mbps doesn’t fulfil your appetite, both prepaid and postpaid users have the option to go with the Jio Fiber plan that offers up to 500Mbps download and upload speed. The Rs 1,499 Jio Fiber plan ships with a maximum speed of 300Mbps, while the Rs 2,499 plan touts up to 500Mbps speed. The tariffs also include unlimited voice call benefits and a free subscription to 15 OTT apps worth up to Rs 1,650.

3. Jio Fiber broadband speed up to 1Gbps plans

1Gbps download speed is available for both postpaid and prepaid users with Rs 3,999 as well as Rs 8,499 Jio Fiber plans. They both come with similar benefits including 30 days validity and free voice calls; however, the Rs 3,999 Jio Fiber plan offers unlimited data (FUP 3,300 Mbps) and a complimentary subscription to 15 OTT apps worth Rs 1,650, while the top-end Rs 8,499 tariff provides the customer with 6,600GB high-speed data and complimentary subscription to 15 OTT apps worth Rs 1,800.

Jio Fiber broadband top-up

In addition to the regular broadband plans, Jio Fiber also comes with talktime and ‘Combo Plan’ top-up. The talktime includes ISD plans priced at Rs 501 and Rs 502 with 28 days and 30 days validity respectively. The Rs 501 Jio Fiber ISD recharge pack is bundled with a talktime of Rs 424.58 for international calls and 50MB data, while Rs 502 pack includes unlimited international voice calling to the USA and Canada for up to 1500 minutes. 

The Jio Fiber Combo Plan has only one recharge with Rs 199 denomination. The plan comes with 7 days validity and includes 1000GB data at 100Mbps, thereafter the speed drops to 1Mbps. There are top-up for local and STD calls as well, which I don’t find any use for since each and every Jio Fiber broadband plans come with unlimited voice calling.

You can avail 30-day free trial of the Jio Fiber. Customers only need to pay a one-time amount, which is refundable, to use Jio Fiber for free. If you don’t like the service, you return the broadband back to Jio. You’ve two options to choose from to avail Jio Fiber 30-day free trial: the ‘Option 1’ comes with a refundable security deposit of Rs 2,500 and benefits such as 150Mbps speed, Wi-Fi ONT modem, free voice calling, 4K set-top box, and subscription to OTT platforms. The ‘Option 2’, on the other hand, only includes 150Mbps speed, Wi-Fi ONT modem, free voice calling, and a security amount of Rs 1,500.
