Jio Phone Next is yet to get a launch date in India. The phone was unveiled at Reliance 44th Annual General Meeting (AGM) and was initially scheduled to go on sale from September 10th, but the company pushed it to Diwali. This means we can expect the handset will hit stores later this month or in early November. Jio is aiming to sell 50 million units in the next 6 months. Now, while we wait to hear more about the Jio Phone Next India launch, the phone has appeared on the Google Play Console, revealing some key specifications. Jio Phone Next specs on Google Play Console
The Google Play Console listing shows the Jio Phone Next will be equipped with 2GB RAM, Qualcomm Snapdragon 215 chipset, and Adreno 306 GPU. It is said to run on Android 11, probably the Go Edition version and an HD+ display with 720 X 1440 pixels resolution. The listing also includes a render of the phone, which shows thick bezels above and below the screen, with a selfie snapper on the top portion.
Jio Phone Next specifications could also include a 5.5-inch display, an 8MP front-facing camera for selfies and video chats, and a 13MP rear camera. Jio has teamed up with Google for dedicated AI features and better optics. The 2GB RAM model could be paired with 16GB storage, there could be a 3GB RAM version with 32GB of storage. The phone could have a 2,500mAh battery and a polycarbonate build to keep the price in check.
Jio Phone Next price in India (expected)
Jio Phone Next is said to be available in two models – one of them is the Jio Phone Next Basic model, while the other will be the JioPhone Next Advance model. The former is said to be priced around Rs 5,000, while the latter could cost around Rs 7,000. There will be bank offers and EMI options for customers at launch.
