Jio True 5G launched in 34 more cities across 13 states

Reliance Jio on Tuesday (January 31) launched 5G services in 34 cities. With this rollout, Jio True 5G services are now available in a total of 225 cities. The telecom giant says that it is the first and the only 5G operator in most of these cities.

The 5G services have been launched in these cities:
Andhra Pradesh: Ananthapuramu, Bhimavaram, Chirala, Guntakal, Nandyal, Tenali
Assam: Dibrugarh, Jorhat, Tezpur
Bihar: Gaya
Chhattisgarh: Ambikapur, Dhamtari
Haryana: Thanesar, Yamunanagar
Karnataka: Chitradurga
Maharashtra: Jalgaon, Latur
Odisha: Balangir, Nalco
Punjab: Jalandhar, Phagwara
Rajasthan: Ajmer
Tamil Nadu: Cuddalore, Dindigul, Kancheepuram, Karur, Kumbakonam, Nagercoil, Thanjavur, Tiruvannamalai
Telangana: Adilabad, Mahabubnagar, Ramagundam
Uttar Pradesh: Mathura
Jio users in these cities will be invited to the Jio Welcome Offer, to experience Unlimited Data at up to 1Gbps+ speeds, at no additional cost.

“We are really excited to launch Jio True 5G services in 34 additional cities, taking the total count to 225 cities. Jio has achieved this milestone in just under 120 days since the beta trial launch and is well on its way to connect the entire nation with the transformational Jio True 5G services by December 2023,” a Jio spokesperson said.
“A 5G network rollout of this scale is a first anywhere in the world, and 2023 will be a landmark year for India, when the entire country will reap the benefits of the revolutionary True 5G technology, delivered through Jio’s superior network infrastructure. We are grateful to the Central and State Governments for their continuous support in our quest to digitise our country,” the spokesperson added.

Jio 5G services in Northeast
Recently, Jio launched its 5G services in seven cities spread across six states in the Northeast. Jio True 5G was made available in Itanagar (Arunachal Pradesh), Imphal (Manipur), Shillong (Meghalaya), Aizawl (Mizoram), Kohima and Dimapur (Nagaland) and Agartala (Tripura).
The company said that the 5G rollout in the North-East circle “is testimony to Jio’s commitment towards the development of the circle.” The telecom giant also said that Jio True 5G services will be made available in every town and taluka of the North-Eastern states by December 2023.
