John Cena comes to Fortnite: All the details – Times of India

Fortnite keeps having these crossover events where popular characters in pop culture make an appearance in the battle royale game, sometimes as characters, other times as skin sets. The latest one to join the list is an actual person, who is quite popular in the WWE circles. It’s none other than John Cena, the 16-time world champion in professional wrestling. Or, to be more correct, his outfit.
“The John Cena Outfit is available in the Item Shop starting July 28 at 8 PM ET, complete with the Entrance Gear and Ring Gear Styles.”, Epic Games announced in a blog post.
The Item Shop has got more of the John Cena gear which includes the WWE Championship Title Back Bling (included with the Outfit), the open-hand Five Digit Slapper Pickaxe, and the U Can’t C Me Emote.
Before Cena, Marvel’s Odinson Thor and The Mighty Thor arrived in the game as part of the Gods of Thunder pack. The pack came with two Back Blings, two Pickaxes, two Gliders, plus an Emote and Loading Screen.
Odinson Thor’s items included Thor’s Cape Back Bling, Stormbreaker Pickaxe, Stormbreaker’s Flight Glider and Bring The Hammer Down Emote. When it comes to Jane Foster’s The Mighty Thor, her items were Mighty Thor’s Cape Back Bling for the new Thor, Reformed Mjolnir Pickaxe and Mjolnir’s Flight Glider.
Also, this summer, to celebrate the launch of the six-part Obi-Wan Kenobi TV series, Fortnite added the Obi-Wan Kenobi cosmetic bundle to the game. The Obi-Wan Kenobi Bundle came with the Desert Essentials Back Bling, Obi-Wan’s blade pickaxe, the Jedi Interceptor Glider, Obi-Wan’s Message Emote and a themed loading screen called ‘Kenobi, Surrounded Loading Screen’.
