Kantara Hindi OTT platform revealed, release date to be announced soon

Kantara Hindi OTT release date has not been revealed yet but we expect the movie to land on Netflix soon. Kantara was released in Kannada initially on September 30th, 2022, and became one of the biggest hits of this year.

Where to watch Kantara on OTT?

Currently, Kantara is streaming on Amazon Prime Video in four languages. Prime Video bagged the digital streaming rights for Kantara. However, the rights to the Hindi dubbed version have been reportedly bagged by Netflix, as per a report by Binged.

Due to its popularity, Kantara which was initially released in Kannada was later released in theatres in several languages, including Hindi. Currently, users can watch it in four languages: Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, or Malayalam. Soon, the Hindi dubbed version will be released on Netflix.

Kantara explores the relationship between human beings and nature and stars Rishab Shetty as the lead Kaadubettu Shiva, Sapthami Gowda as Leela, Kishore as Muralidhar, a Deputy Range Forest Officer, Achyuth Kumar as Devendra, and Pramod Shetty. Rishab Shetty himself is the writer and director of the movie. Kantara is further produced by Vijay Kiragandur under the banner of Hombale Film. The same label is also popularly known for its production of KGF, another Indian-Kannada language blockbuster.

Kantara has received universal acclaim from critics and the audience. The Hindu wrote in its review that, “Rishab Shetty succeeds in meticulously bringing a tale of myths, legends, and superstition, and that too in his native dialect.” Meanwhile, The New Indian Express said the film is “a compelling revenge-action drama with a neat blend of crime and divinity.” The Times of India’s review of Kantara called the movie “a visual grandeur”.
