Kantara Hindi OTT release today: here’s where you can watch Kantara online

However, since its release, the Hindi-speaking audience has been eagerly waiting for the dubbed version of the movie as Kantara is currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video in four regional languages: Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam. 

Kantara, starring the film’s director Rishab Shetty also as the lead, Sapthami Gowda, and Kishore, was initially expected to launch on Amazon Prime Video. However, it was only a few days later when it was revealed that the Hindi version will stream on Netflix.

Where to watch Kantara Hindi on OTT?

Prime Video bagged the digital streaming rights for Kantara and thus, it is currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video in four languages. However, the Kantara Hindi OTT rights were bagged by Netflix.

Due to its popularity, Kantara which was initially released in Kannada, was later dubbed in theatres in several languages, including Hindi. On Amazon Prime Video, users can currently only watch it in four languages: Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, or Malayalam. The Hindi dubbed version is all set to release today on Netflix.

Kantara explores the relationship between humans and nature and stars the director Rishab Shetty himself as the lead Kaadubettu Shiva, Sapthami Gowda as Leela, Kishore as Muralidhar, a Deputy Range Forest Officer, Achyuth Kumar as Devendra, and Pramod Shetty. The movie is produced by Vijay Kiragandur under the banner of Hombale Film.

IMDb rating: 9/10

Kantara has received acclaim from critics and the audience. The Hindu wrote in its review that, “Rishab Shetty succeeds in meticulously bringing a tale of myths, legends, and superstition, and that too in his native dialect.” Meanwhile, the New Indian Express said the film is “a compelling revenge-action drama with a neat blend of crime and divinity.” The Times of India’s review of Kantara called the movie “a visual grandeur”

Kantara recently courted controversy regarding its popular song ‘Varaha Roopam’, as a band claimed it was too similar to an original. However, the courts have now directed the filmmakers to add the song back to the film.
