krafton: BGMI players facing login issues: What Krafton is doing – Times of India
Some BGMI players have been facing login issues with the game since 9 PM yesterday. BGMI developer Krafton has taken notice of the issue and issued a formal acknowledgement for the same on the game website. The developer says that the cause for the login failures has not yet been found yet and that it will get back with a new notice once the concerned teams find or fix the issue.
“Dear BATTLEGROUNDS MOBILE INDIA fans,
We have identified some players are experiencing login failure from 21:00PM, Dec 29 with an error message showing “Server authentication error. Login failed”.
We are currently trying to fix the issue and will get back to you as soon as possible when fixed.
We apologize for the inconvenience.
Thank you,
KRAFTON”
Having a login issue close to the new year could be a cause of major worry for the developer if the issue does not get resolved soon as it can be expected that more players will try to get together online with friends in BGMI around the new year.
BGMI has got new game modes and seasonal events with the December update. There is a new Squid Game-inspired ‘React Survival’ mode in which players can wear blue tracksuits with different numbers to join the Red Light and Green Light game. The player who gets to the finish line without being detected by the giant Rabbit wins the game. Then there are more game modes like the ‘Metro Royale Mode’ where you can gear up before the match and loot lots of items, ‘Survive Till Dawn Mode’ where you loot items by killing zombies, ‘Virus Infection Mode’ where you fight either as a human or zombie, ‘Heavy Machine Gun 2.0 Mode’ which offers combat with helicopters and armoured vehicles and ‘Rune Theme Mode’ where you join the match after choosing 1 out of 3 rune fragments.
Krafton has also stepped up its efforts to limit the presence of cheaters in the battle royale game. The South Korean company recently banned 58,611 game accounts permanently from December 20, 2021, to December 26, 2021. It also put up a comprehensive list of the banned accounts in a blog post on the BGMI website.
