WhatsApp beta brings new emojis on Android
Most people might completely miss the changes because the upgrade is so subtle. The screenshot that is attached below displays every new emoji that the app adds in addition to the updated skin tones. While the remaining 21 emojis will be made accessible in the forthcoming beta version, the beta testers can now access the 8 new emojis that bring modifications to skin tone with the most recent build.
WhatsApp beta brings Picture-in-Picture mode on iOS
The latest WhatsApp beta for iOS 22.24.0.79 update from the TestFlight app, gets the picture-in-picture mode for WhatsApp video calls. The feature uses official iOS APIs, to launch a picture-in-picture view when multitasking. This feature is only compatible with iOS 15 and newer versions. The picture-in-picture mode update has been bundled within the latest beta and is also compatible with the latest WhatsApp Business beta app. The feature is only available to a handful of users for now and will be released to more users over the coming days.
WhatsApp devs are working around the clock to churn out new features and the messaging app has already gained some important features this year. Some of these features include the ability to chat with yourself, WhatsApp polls, Quick reactions, group audio calls, and more.
