When it comes to its Pixel phones, Google’s not exactly the best at keeping everything under wraps. There’s already been a few leaks here and there. The latest, however, is a new video that appears to show off the upcoming Pixel 7a.
The Pixel 7a isn’t expected to launch until at least sometime after Google I/O and Google hasn’t even officially announced the device yet. Despite that, someone has allegedly leaked a short hands-on video of the phone in a private Facebook group. The video was later shared on Twitter with some screenshots.
The device shown in the video appears to be very similar to the Pixel 7. This includes the matte camera visor, the physical buttons on the right side, and the flat screen. If this is the Pixel 7a, this revelation doesn’t come as much of a surprise as it was expected that the Pixel 7a would be similar to the Pixel 7 in terms of physical appearance.
Another detail the video seems to reveal is a 90Hz refresh rate. This means Google could finally be bumping up the refresh rate for its A series phones.
Since the video is only about a minute long, there’s not much else to take away from the video. However, based on previous leaks, the Pixel 7a is expected to include a few higher-end features. It’s possible that this 90Hz refresh rate is one of those rumored higher-end features.
