lenovo gaming tablet: Lenovo may be working on a gaming tablet – Times of India
Chinese technology company Lenovo could be working on a gaming-specific tablet, as per a report by GSMArena, based on photos shared on Weibo. The tablet is expected to be launched under the company’s Legion gaming brand.
As per the report, there were two photos shared by Lenovo execs on Weibo which give a basic idea about the tablet. One, it is a small device going by the tablet standards, actually about 8 inch, as per a report by IT Home. Also, there could be minimal physical controls on the tablet.
The photos show the Legion branding on the back of the tablet. But specification-wise, no details have come out.
Since it is a tablet meant for mainly gaming purposes, we can expect it to come powered with a top-tier Snapdragon processor like the 888 or even Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and have a high refresh rate display.
Lenovo has got gaming smartphones under the Legion brand, with the latest iteration having a display size of 6.92-inch. There is also the Lenovo Legion Play which is expected to feature a 7-inch screen, inbuilt joysticks and other buttons you usually see on controllers.
Lenovo has a strong presence in the Android tablet market in India, with low to medium price range options. If it is to make a gaming tablet succeed in the Indian market, provided it is thinking of bringing it to India, it has to price it smartly to cater to the Indian gaming public since a premium display and a high-end processor are going to make cutting down on the price quite difficult.
