thsLenovo has officially taken the wraps off its gaming tablet in China, as per a report by ITHome. The device is called the Lenovo Legion Y700 Gaming Tablet and was revealed to the public via a preview poster.
The Legion Y700 Gaming Tablet comes with an 8.8-inch display with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels and a refresh rate of 120Hz. The display has a 240Hz touch sampling rate and supports 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut, as per the report.
According to the report, not all the details are known about the gaming tablet but the poster has revealed some. Like the device will have bezels of unequal width and the presence of the single rear camera with a flash.
The gaming tablet is expected to come powered with a powerful Android chipset, and Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 is being considered to be a hot contender. Apart from a display with a high refresh rate, a gaming tablet needs to have a high end processor to handle the demands of gamers, which would mean an increase in the price of the tablet too.
As per earlier teasers, the tablet will have a boxy design with right-angled edges. It is supposed to be given a brushed metal finish for a more premium look. The rumours also suggest that the gaming tablet could feature high-quality audio and video capabilities with Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision support.
There is a chance that the company may introduce the gaming tablet in India too, considering the growing base of gamers in the country and that there would be no competition for Lenovo in this segment as it will be the first company to launch a gaming-focused tablet in India.
