Lenovo has launched the ‘ThinkPad X1 Fold’ foldable PC in India. The ThinkPad X1 Fold is available at a starting price of Rs 3,29,000 on Lenovo.com website.
The laptop is incidentally listed at a lower prioce on Lenovo’s website. It is listed at Rs 248,508 onwards. This reportedly is due to an offer running till the end of this month.
The PC has a foldable graphite layer to help dissipate heat and optimise cooling. As per Lenovo, the ThinkPad is tested against 12 military-grade certification methods and 27 procedures (MIL-STD 810H).
The ThinkPad X1 Fold sports a 13.3-inch 2K OLED 4:3 (2048 x 1536 pixels, 300 nits) DCI-P3 95% touchscreen that can be folded from the middle. It is powered by an Intel Core i5 processor with Intel Hybrid Technology coupled with an 8GB LPDDR4X 4267MHz RAM. The device supports up to 1TB PCIe-NVMe M.2 2242 SSD. The device weighs about 999g.
The device comes bundled with the Lenovo Easel Stand for portrait or landscape placement on a desk, and a Bluetooth Mini Fold Keyboard that nests inside the system and is wirelessly charged by being magnetized to the screen when the system is closed.
Users can browse online, stream a video or watch a presentation while using the Thinkpad X1 With the Lenovo Mode Switcher app, the ThinkPad X1 Fold also orients windows on the screen to a user’s preference. It allows the user to split the screen in two or use full width for one large display. It also automatically adjusts to display the on-screen keyboard when required. The PC comes equipped with Wi-Fi 6 and there is the optional 4G / 5G service.
The X1 Fold comes equipped with the Dolby Access app that uses Dolby Atmos technology to simulate 3D sound. The different sound profiles empower creators and users to customise the sound to the correct content (Music, Movies, Games, etc.) or simply allow Dolby Access to identify it and provide automatic adjustments with the dynamic profile.
