LG launches its 2021 TV lineup, price starts at Rs 50,990 – Times of India
LG has announced the 2021 lineup of OLED, QNED, Nano Cell, and UHD TVs in India. The new range of smart TVs come in different screen sizes and boasts features like up to 8K resolution support, Dolby Vision, variable refresh rate, Dolby Atmos and quad-core processor.
Price and availability
LG OLED TVs come with 8K and 4K resolution support. They come at a starting price of Rs 1,44,990 and will be available in different sizes- 121cm, 139cm, 164cm, 194cm, 210cm and 223cm.
The LG QNED series, too comes in 8K & 4K resolution. It is [riced at Rs 2,66,990 and comes in 164cm, 194cm and 218cm screen size. Price of LG Nanocell TVs with 4K resolution has been set at Rs 63,990 onwards. It comes in 108cm, 126cm, 139cm, 164cm, 189cm and 218cm. nThe 4K UHD AI ThinQ models will be available in sizes starting 108cm. It is priced at Rs 50,990 onwards.
LG 2021 TVs specifications
LG 2021 OLED TVs boast of self-lit panels that are claimed to produce 33.2 million self-lit subpixels. The OLED Evo is LG’s flagship TV of 2021 with its infinite looking screen display. LG OLED88Z1 (222 cm) with 4K resolution comes in a sculpture design.
LG OLED C1 series comes with 4K resolution and is powered by Alpha 9 generation 4 processor. While the LG OLED B1 series is equipped with features like Dolby Vision IQ and Atmos, and comes powered by Generation 4 Alpha 7 processor.
The new OLED TVs come with TÜV Rheinland (TUV) and Underwriter Laboratories (UL) certifications. They are said to be certified as low-blue light, flicker-free, and discomfort glare-free displays.
The new TVs boastfeatures like Dolby Vision IQ, Dolby Atmos and Auto Volume Leveling. They support variable refresh rate and auto low latency mode. It is claimed to be the world’s first TV to support the Dolby Vision HDR at 4K 120 FPS for gaming.
The new range of 4K NanoCell TVs, LG says is designed to “deliver stunning picture quality and innovative design with artificial intelligence-enabled features that bring movies, sports and video games to life.” The TVs offer 4K resolution with an ultra bright panel and local dimming support.
LG QNED Mini LED TVs will be available in both 8K and 4K resolution under the series QNED99 & QNED91 respectively. LG UHD AI ThinQ TVs feature three-side cinema screen design.
LG’s new TV range comes with smart TV features like built-in Google Assistant & Amazon Alexa. The LG Magic remote now has an ergonomic design. The remote comes with dedicated hot keys for popular content and AI service providers.
LG Nano Cell and UHD TVs are powered by quad-core processor with 4K resolution to remove video noise. “Packed with AI capabilities, the processor also knows when, where, and how to improve the sound, creating virtual surround sound for a more immersive and cinematic experience,” LG says. The TVs come with HDR 10 Pro support. They are equipped with Game Optimizer that can automatically adjust picture settings, optimizing graphics and visibility, to deliver a better gaming experience.
