Meta is reportedly shutting down its social app for couples — Tuned. As reported by TechCrunch, users of the app have started receiving notification about its shutdown. The app is also asking its users to download their data before September 19.
Launched in 2022, the Tuned app was a project under Meat’s New Product Experimentation (NPE) Team. The company initially introduced the app to analyze the people’s reactions and also test the new features. The app was designed to keep couples in touch during the pandemic. The app offers some messaging features and quizzes designed to let them share their feelings. Tuned also enabled users to exchange notes, photos, videos, voice messages and more.
In an official blog post, Meta said, “With Tuned, you can capture and react to artifacts of your relationship digitally, creating a shared scrapbook for these memorable moments that you and your partner can easily scroll through and reminisce on. Send photo snapshots, notes, cards, voice memos and more, without broadcasting to the world or fear of messaging the wrong person.”
Recently, Meta shut down its cryptocurrency digital wallet — Novi. According to a report by Bloomberg, Meta will put an end to its digital wallet Novi on September 1, 2022. After July 20, customers will not be able to add any funds to the wallet. The report further adds that the company is advising users to withdraw their balance as soon as possible.
The company has also warned users that after the final operation day of Novi, the users will not be able to transfer any remaining amount in the wallet to the bank accounts.
