The UWB is a radio-based communication technology for short-range use for fast and stable transmission of data. It is believed to be a more advanced version of Bluetooth in comparison and can precisely locate smart devices up to a centimetre level. This falls in line with an earlier report that said the Mi MIX 4 will arrive with a UWB chip. it should be used by Mi Share, which is its peer-to-peer file transfer service. However, the usage might expand to more products, probably accessories just like Apple and Samsung smart tags.

Separately, an image showcasing the Mi MIX 4 tempered glass alongside the Mi 11 has surfaced online on Weibo. This shows the difference in screen design between the two models. The picture shows the Mi MIX 4 will use a curved screen design, both on the left and right edges. However, the curvature is smaller than that of the Mi 11. On close observation, the Mi MIX 4 screen is shorter and narrower than the Mi 11, which suggests the former may have a compact form.
