Microsoft launches affordable Surface Laptop SE with Windows 11 SE and 11.6-inch screen
Microsoft Surface Laptop SE is the company’s new affordable Surface laptop which is specifically designed for students. The laptop comes with a price tag of $249 (approximately Rs 18,500). It is equipped with features like high-resolution display with 16:9 aspect ratio, Intel Celeron processor and up to 16 hours of battery life. It runs on the new Windows 11 SE which Microsoft says brings performance enhancements that optimise resources on low-cost devices to deliver more comprehensive learning experiences.
Microsoft Surface Laptop SE: Specifications
Microsoft Surface Laptop SE features a 11.6-inch high resolution screen with 1366×768 pixel resolution. It has an aspect ratio of 16:9. The laptop is equipped with a 1MP 720p HD camera for video calls.
The device comes in two configurations- Intel Celeron N4020 or N4120 processor. It offers up to 8GB of DDR4 RAM and up to 128GB of eMMC storage. The laptop comes with a TPM 2.0 chip for security. Microsoft says that it reduces IT complexity with zero-touch deployment and maintains control down to the firmware level with one-click device management.
For audio output, the laptop offers 2 watt stereo speakers with a single digital microphone. For wireless connections, it is equipped with Wi-Fi: 802.11ac (2×2) and Bluetooth Wireless 5.0 LE.
The laptop features an all plastic body and comes in Glacier colour variant. It has a 135 degrees open angle hinge. Connectivity ports available on the device are a USB Type-A port, one USB Type-C port, a DC connector, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
