Microsoft Surface event: How to watch, what to expect and more

Microsoft’s Surface event is set to take place today and will be live streamed on YouTube. The Redmond giant is expected to launch several new devices at this event which include — Surface Pro 9 tablet, Surface Studio 3 PC, Surface Pro 5 laptop and other devices. However, the company has not shared any details apart from the time and date of the event. More details will surface once the event starts.

The company has confirmed on its official support page that the event will start at 10 am ET (which is 7:30 PM IST). As mentioned above, the event will also be live-streamed on the company’s newsroom site and its official YouTube account. Live updates related to the event will also be available on Microsoft’s social media channels.

Microsoft Surface event: What to expect
Microsoft is expected to release the successor of last year’s Microsoft Surface Pro 8 tablet at the event. The upcoming Surface Pro 9 tablet is expected to sport a 13-inch display that may support a 120Hz refresh rate. The new tablet is likely to launch two different models of the tablet. Microsoft may release a variant that will come powered by 12th gen Intel processors while the company is also expected to release another option that will run on Microsoft’s custom chip created in partnership with Qualcomm. The Surface Pro 9 is also rumoured to include 5G connectivity support.

The company might release the Surface Laptop 5 at the event which is also expected to come powered by 12th-gen Intel processors. Moreover, Microsoft may also launch a new Surface Studio 3 PC that is likely to include an 12th-gen Intel i7 CPU.
Apart from this, Microsoft is also rumoured to launch the new-gen Surface Duo 2 and other office accessories.
