It packs 4GB LPDDR4X RAM and 64GB internal storage that is further expandable up to 1TB via a microSD card. The handset boots Android 11 OS with a near-stock interface out of the box.

The Moto E40 features a triple-camera setup on the back. The system includes a 48MP primary sensor with quad-pixel technology and an LED flash. It is accompanied by a depth camera and a dedicated Macrovision sensor. It is powered by the Unisoc T700 chipset paired with ARM Mali-G52 MC2 GPU for graphics.
