Motorola Edge 40 Pro to support 125W fast charging, FCC listing suggests

Motorola Edge 40 Pro FCC Listing

MySmartPrice mined out the FCC listing for the Motorola Edge 40 Pro. According to the FCC listing, the model number of the device is XT2301-4. The device will support 125W wired charging speed and also supports wireless and reverse wireless charging. While the charging speed of these is unknown, according to the listing, a Huawei wireless charger was used for testing purposes.

Also, there are two variants of the device in terms of cellular connectivity. A dual SIM model that supports one e-SIM paired with a physical SIM and a single SIM model that only supports a physical SIM. The device will also support 5G connectivity.

Another interesting revelation through the FCC listing is the charging adaptor model numbers for different regions. The model numbers are as follows, MC-1251, MC-1252, MC-1253, MC-1254, MC-1255, MC-1256, MC-1257, or MC-1259. All of these are 125W power adaptors. Moreover, 15W, 27W, 45W, and 125W are the different power outputs supported by the charging adaptor of the Motorola Edge 40 Pro.

We expect the Motorola Edge 40 Pro to launch with the recently unveiled Qualcomm flagship SoC, Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. While we wait for Motorola to announce the official launch date for the device, the FCC listing suggests the launch is close. If we were to speculate based on Motorola Edge 30 Pro launch, we can expect the successor to release by March 2023.

We expect more leaks in the upcoming days as the Motorola Edge 40 Pro launch grows closer.
