NEW DELHI: Lenovo-owned Motorola launched the Motorola Edge 20 and Motorola Edge 20 Fusion in India recently. At the time of the launch the company announced that the Motorola Edge 20 will go on sale on August 24, while the Motorola Edge 20 Fusion will go on sale on August 27. However, now the company has announced that sale for the Motorola Edge 20 model has been deferred in India. The company has not yet revealed as to why it has postponed the sale date of the smartphone.
Motorola has revealed that it has indefinitely postponed the sale date of Motorola Edge 20 in India. This means that the smartphone will not go on sale on August 24. The smartphone maker has not yet announced the new sale date. The company has now said that the customers will be able to pre-order the Motorola Edge 20 starting August 24 via Flipkart and the company will announce the new sale date ‘shortly’.
“We are glad to see the overwhelming response that we have received from media and consumers for both our recently launched Edge 20 series products. However, due to unforeseen circumstances we have had to defer the sale date for Edge 20, which we will announce shortly,” Motorola said in a statement.

The Motorola Edge 20 is priced at Rs 29,999 and it comes in Frosted Pearl and Frosted Emerald colour options.
Motorola Edge 20: Specifications
The Motorola Edge 20 smartphone offers a 6.7-inch OLED display with HDR10+ certification and 144Hz refresh rate. It comes powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 778 5G SoC with 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage.
The camera department includes a triple rear camera setup of a 108MP primary sensor, a 16MP secondary sensor and an 8MP high-resolution optical zoom lens.
Backed by a 4000mAh battery, the Motorola Edge 20 smartphone comes with TurboPower 30 that is said to deliver 8 hours of power in 10 minutes of charging.
