MWC: 3 reasons that set the Motorola Rizr apart from the competition | Digit
Lenovo’s phone brand Motorola has unveiled a new concept smartphone in the Mobile World Congress 2023 in Barcelona. Motorola unveiled the Motorola Rizr and amazed everyone up just like it did three years ago when the company unveiled Motorola Razr. Motorola Razr was an upside down foldable phone but Motorola Rizr is a vertically rollable phone.
Motorola Rizr has a 5-inch plastic OLED display by default but it shows the real magic after pressing the button twice on the right panel. After you press that button twice, the display will roll out vertically and you get a 6.5-inch display and to roll down the display to 5-inch back, press the button twice again.
Here are the three reasons why you should go for the Motorola Rizr:
1. Vertical Roll
This design is quite practical in comparison with the other smartphones with rollable displays like TCl or Samsung. Other rollable smartphones stretch their displays horizontally which doesn’t look very much usable as we mostly use phones vertically. This Motorola Rizr stretches the display vertically so this can be pretty useful. Either you want a small compact phone or a big 6.5-inch display phone, I say it’s a win win.
2. Display on the back
The display of the Rizr rolls around the bottom and leaves some of the display on the back as well. The display on the back can give you notification alerts and it can also be used for photography. The display shows the preview of the rear camera so you can also use rear cameras for selfies for better picture quality.
3. Availability of Rizr
Motorola’s been working on this rollable smartphone for quite a while now, so we might see them soon in the market. Although, it’s just a guess and Motorola hasn’t confirmed any details on the availability of Motorola Rizr.
That was all about Motorola Rizr, so now if someone says to you that ‘ The Future is here’, you need to believe it because it indeed is here.
