New entry-level iPads have a ‘weird’ Apple Pencil problem: What is it

Apple launched the iPad (10th-generation) and the iPad Pro which comes in two display sizes and is powered by Apple’s M2 processor. The entry-level iPad (10th-generation) is powered by an A14 Bionic chipset and will be available in two connectivity variants and four different colour options. However, the newly-launched iPad seems to have a problem with supporting Apple Pencil.
The new Apple iPad gets some major upgrades in terms of both design and specs over the previous models. It is to be noted that it only works with the original Apple Pencil but looks like people are finding an issue in terms of the charging ports available on both devices. The 10th-gen iPad, which sports a USB-C charging port, comes with support for the first-generation Apple Pencil that charges over a Lightning connector.

This means that those who purchase the new entry-level iPad will not be able to charge their first-generation Apple Pencil with it. Apple has offered a solution.
USB-C to Apple Pencil adapter
Apple is offering a USB-C to Apple Pencil adapter for Rs 900. This adapter will help users to charge their first-gen Apple Pencils with the new 10th-generation iPads.
Moreover, users won’t be able to plug the adapter directly into the iPad’s USB-C connector. Users will need a separate USB-C cable that will connect the iPad and the Apple Pencil adapter. Also, they can choose to charge the Apple stylus directly with their iPhones.

The Apple iPad (10th-generation) price in India starts at Rs 44,900. It is available for pre-order in 28 countries, including India and will soon go on sale.
