The navigation bar will still appear at the bottom, and the description, comment, like, and other buttons alongside the Instagram logo will float over the video. The time, battery, and cellular info will also float over the content on the top. The company also said that it would change the navigation bar and add shortcuts for creating posts and messages in this experiment.
Instagram full-screen feed
Instagram did an experiment with the full-screen feed in May, where many users complained and gave negative feedback. The feed puts content at the centre and white bars on top and bottom that houses the buttons and Instagram logo. However, this time the feed will not show white space when viewing 9:16 videos in the new full-screen test.

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg said in an Instagram story that “we want to make it easier to discover content and connect with friends. Photos are still an important part of Instagram, and we’re working on ways to improve the way they show up in a full-screen feed too. Some people will start seeing this test soon. Excited to hear your feedback!”
To recall, Adam Mosseri, Head of Instagram, stated that Instagram is no longer a photo-sharing app and it will focus on videos and shopping. Now, the CEO of Meta, Mark Zuckerberg, says they are working on a way to show the full-screen photo feed.
