There are rumours that the Samsung Galaxy S23 smartphone will come with a new cooling technology that’s claimed to improve its overall performance. It is also believed that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra will come with a new low-light imaging technology.
What do we know about the new cooling tech?
There were a few leaked benchmarks showing that the Samsung Galaxy S23’s multi-core scores were lower than expected. The device is believed to run on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC from Qualcomm, with the same being manufactured by Samsung Semiconductor over the Taiwan’s TSMC (which uses its 4nm node while manufacturing the chip). As as result of this, the clock speed is higher – 3.32 GHz (as opposed to 3.2GHz).
Speaking about the device’s initial inability to achieve peak performance multi-core scores, tipster Ahmed Qwalder has revealed that the company has its own cooling technology that is claimed to improve heat dissipation. The Samsung Galaxy S23 sees an improvement of 1.6x, Samsung Galaxy S23 Plus by 2.6x, and Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra by 2.3x.
What do we know about night vision?
The tipster also also stated that the night photography mode on the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra will actually be night vision. At this point, it is not clear whether this is a new mode or whether this is a cool marketing name given to the feature.
