HMD Global has launched a new entry-level smartphone in Russia. The Nokia C01 Plus is part of Nokia’s C-series of budget smartphones. Its specs are nothing to write home about, but that is to be expected from a budget smartphone. Furthermore, the Nokia C01 Plus runs Android 11 Go- a stripped-down version of the operating system tailor-made for smartphones with fewer resources at disposal. Currently, the Nokia C01 Plus is only available for purchase in Russia. It could get launched in India at a later date, but there is no word about that just yet. Let’s take a look at what the Nokia C01 Plus has in store for us.
Nokia C01 Plus price
The Nokia C01 Plus costs RUB 6,490 (approx Rs 6,600) in Russia and is available in two colour variants, Purple and Blue. Its price sounds about right, given its hardware. If launched in India, we can expect it to retail for around the same amount.
Nokia C01 Plus specifications
The Nokia C01 Plus is one of the smaller smartphones on the market. Its 5.4-inch LCD panel has HD+ resolution and noticeable bezels around its perimeter and looks like something designed in 2016. Under the hood, there’s a Spreadtrum SC9863A chipset, coupled with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. Thankfully, the smartphone ships with a micro SD slot.
Moving on to the optics, the Nokia C01 Plus features a 5MP selfie camera. Its rear camera also uses a 5MP module. Other features include dual-SIM support, Bluetooth 4.2, 802.11 Wi-Fi support, and 4G. Lastly, the 3,000mAh battery powers the smartphone.
