Nokia G20 with 48MP quad rear camera, 5050mAh battery launched in India: Price, availability and more

Back in April, HMD Global, the company that owns the license to manufacture and sell Nokia-branded handsets, had announced new smartphones as part of three new series — the Nokia X-series, G-series and C-series. Now, the company has officially announced the first handset of that lot in India.
The brand has launched a new budget entrant, Nokia G20 in India.

Nokia G20 comes in a single storage option of 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. It is priced at Rs 12,999. The Nokia G20 can be purchased in two colour options — Night and Glacier and will become available for preorder starting July 7 on Nokia’s official website and Amazon India website. It will go on sale starting September 1.

Running on the stock Android 10 operating system out of the box, the Nokia G20 smartphone is said to get 3 years of monthly security updates and two years of software upgrades.
The handset offers a 20:9 aspect ratio for a display of 6.5-inch. It has an HD+ screen of 1600x720p resolution with a waterdrop notch and a 2.5D glass front.
The Nokia G20 smartphone comes powered by MediaTek G35 processor. On the storage front, the device offers 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. For those who want more, there is a dedicated microSD card on the device that can support up to 512GB of storage.
For imaging duties, Nokia G20 has a quad-camera setup on the back. The primary camera is a 48MP sensor. There is also a 5MP ultra-wide sensor and two 2MP depth and macro sensors. On the front, users get an 8MP sensor for selfies.
Backed by a 5050mAh battery, the Nokia G20 is said to deliver up to three days of battery life using AI-assisted battery features.
Measuring 164.9 x 76 x 9.2mm and weighing 197 grams, the smartphone offers a 3.5mm headphone jack, dual-SIM support and a USB Type-C port for charging.
